UC Mini is one of the lightest Android browsers you can find in the Play Store. While being light, it is also packed with a lot of features that will improve your browsing experience.

One of the features of UC Mini browser is the ability to block ads.

In this article, you’re going to learn how to activate or deactivate the ad blocking feature on UC Mini.

This way you will be able to block ads when you want to.

However, sometimes you will have to deactivate the ad blocking feature, this is because some websites won’t allow you to download resources while having ad block activated.

Ads are one of the ways website owners support themselves, so do what you want with that information.

Although this is a UC Mini tutorial, you can also apply the steps to UC Browser for Android.

Here’s how to activate ad block using UC Mini on Android, step by step.

Step 1: Open the app and tap the Menu Icon on the bottom.

The Powerful Ad Blocker is there to help block pop ups and stop websites from opening automatically in new tabs.

After turning on those switches, you have successfully activated ad blocking on the browser.

To deactivate it, just turn off both switches and go back to the website that requested turning off your ad blocker and refresh it to gain access to what you want.

Wrapping Things Up

While blocking ads can give you a smooth internet experience, you should also note that some website owners depend on ads to support themselves.

This is why sometimes some websites still show you ads or sometimes pop ups even after you’ve activated the ad blocking feature.

Their websites have scripts that bypass most ad blocking functions.

So don’t think your browser is broken when it doesn’t block ads on some websites, just know that the browser’s functions are being bypassed.

However, browser developers are also looking for ways to improve their ad blocking features. It’s a never ending battle.
